All our rings are custom-made in our jewelry workshops, in accordance with traditional French jewelry making. We make them according to the dimensions of the diamonds.
It is important to select diamonds that have the same dimensions when making a pair of earrings. In our capacity as diamantaires, we have access to a wide selection of diamonds.
We can set on our earrings diamonds of any weight: 0.3 carat diamonds, 0.5 carat diamonds, 0.7 carat diamonds, 1 carat diamonds or more. You may choose the quality (color and clarity) of these diamonds but it is important that it be the same for both of them. We recommend that you choose, for a round brilliant cut diamond, a color grade included between D and H and a clarity grade included between IF and SI2.
We only use ethically-sourced diamonds, which will enhance our earrings.
We can set our stud earrings with round brilliant cut and princess cut diamonds, as well as other diamond shapes. These diamonds will be GIA, HRD or IGI certified. These acronyms stand for the best gemological laboratories.
The earrings we sell are made for pierced ears.
All our pieces of jewelry come in a beautiful jewelry box, ready to be gifted!
Earrings are always very appreciated as a gift. They can be given for a birthday, Valentine's Day, a birth, or any other event.
Choosing an alloy over another is first of all a matter of taste. However, we advise you to choose it according to the alloy of the jewelry you already wear. If your jewelry is made with white gold, then you should probably choose white gold earrings.
We use 14K gold, 18K gold, and platinum for jewelry making. We do not work with silver.
The top-selling stud earrings are made with either white gold or yellow gold. It is perfectly possible to buy them in platinum or rose gold, but these will be more expensive. Some of our customers are tempted by platinum as this metal is more brilliant and resistant than gold.
It takes three weeks to make white gold earrings and yellow gold earrings, and four for those made with platinum and rose gold.
Regarding design no.1, the basket setting in which the diamond is set has a flat bottom. It will fit on your earlobe perfectly. The earring will not move and will be very stage once the security system is added.
Design no.2 is more refined; the diamond can be seen better, and light will be able to penetrate it more easily. However, the conical prong setting could be slightly less stable on the earlobe than with design no.1. Still, it is easier to see the diamond from every side with this design, which also allows the diamond to shine brighter since more light will penetrate the gemstone through the sides. The conical part of the stem will follow the slope of the diamond's pavilion perfectly, ensuring perfect stability after the diamond is set.
We offer three-prong, four-prong, and six-prong settings as well as bezel settings for our earrings.
We recommend a four prong setting because its prongs are smaller than those of a three prong setting; the result will be more esthetically pleasing. Light can easily penetrate a diamond set on a three prong setting or a four prong setting (through the sides) and exit from the top, through the table; diamonds will shine with all their fire. Many of our customers who bought a yellow four prong pendant choose a four prong setting for their earrings.
The six prong setting is particularly pretty, with its prongs being smaller than those of a four prong setting. They are more discreet, and will enhance the diamond even more: this setting is our favorite!
As the diamond is set around the metal by the bezel setting, it will be more difficult for light to penetrate the gemstone. The brilliance of the diamond will be less strong than with a prong setting.
Our jewelry workshop is at your disposal for making your dream pair of earrings. You only need to send us a photo or a drawing of the design you want via email, and we will send you a price estimate as soon as possible.
